4th & 5th Grade

My name is Miss Carol Farmer, and I'm very happy to be teaching the 4th and 5th grade class here at St. Mary School. I am a graduate of Cal State Northridge, with a BA degree in world history, and I also attended the elementary teaching credential program at Cal State Fullerton. Elementary

Hi! My name is Marla Burgos and I am so excited to be St. Mary’s newest Elementary School Teacher. I am so thrilled for this academic year!

I have been in the education field for the past eight years now and my teaching audience has grown and varied from preschool to university level.

I was also St. Mary’s preschool teacher for the past 2 years and I am so excited to share that I am now teaching elementary! Over the summer, I was given the privilege to meet St. Mary’s elementary age students and learn about them all. I enjoy teaching elementary because of all the fun learning experiences we get to have together, and I love advanced science and math!

I graduated with my B.A. in Child and Family Studies from Cal State LA in 2017. Shortly after I graduated with my Master’s in Child and Family Studies in 2019. Obtaining my education has definitely strengthened me to become a better woman, teacher and leader and has provided me with the resources to help my students perform at a higher level.

I am Mexican-American, born and raised in Los Angeles California. I enjoy spending time with my husband and exploring new restaurants together. We also have a 10 year old tuxedo cat named Sasha.

Coach K.

God has always blessed me with great Physical Educators throughout my youth who truly inspired me.

As a result, after completing my bachelors degree in Health Exercise and Sports Science at The Citadel; I began teaching PE as well.

I use a variety of training methods within my curriculum to inspire living a healthy lifestyle, with an emphasis on the application of the greatest commandments - “Love thy neighbor as thyself”.

I am grateful to be at St. Mary’s and look forward to being an inspiration to everyone I encounter.
